Ethiopia is prioritising rebuilding its streets for active transport (walking, cycling and shared mobility) to ensure a safer and more sustainable future for its towns, villages, and cities. An inspiration from Ethiopia’s leadership to accelerate and implement its strategy for non-motorized transport in its cities until the year 2029.

H.E. Dagmawit Moges Bekele was appointed as Minister of Transport of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in October 2018. Before her current post she has served as a Deputy Mayor and Communication’s Affaires bureau head of Addis Ababa City Government, Cabinet member of the City Government and Board Chairperson of Addis Ababa Mass Media Agency Board. H.E. Dagmawit Moges is a Cabinet member of FDRE and a Member of House of People’s Representatives of Ethiopia (HoPRE). Click here to find out more.
